China Methanol spot prices remained stable
on 30 August on mostly unchanged market fundamentals, especially for east
China. Demand and supply were balanced towards the end. Market sources indicated
that domestic prices in northeast China rose mainly due to higher logistics costs.
However, downstream sectors are slowly recovering. A price rise in imports was expected, but it was difficult,
