Chinese
methanol prices dropped Nov. 9, as China's zero tolerance policy regarding the
COVID-19 pandemic caused a sluggish domestic outlook and trade activity. This
led to a weaker Petrochemical Complex with declining prices across many
downstream products. Fixed-price discussions regarding imported spot
methanol cargoes had been sparse in November 9. Some December cargoes
arrived at a premium of 1%-1.8% over the ICIS Specific Origin CFR China
Methanol price. Mid-week, there were not many trades. CFR China
methanol fell $5/mt to $304/mt Nov. 9. Trade discussions remained muted on
Nov. 9, as there was little to no buying. However, overall market sentiment

as ex-tank prices continued to fall to Rupees 24.65/kg due to slowing
