Asian MTBE FOB Singapore was up $7.84/mt from $712.39/mt the day before at $717.43/mt, and a cash difference of $5.05/b remained unchanged compared to the previous session for FOB Singapore 92 RON fuel Mean of Singapore Strip (15-40 days). On March 21, May Brent crude futures rose to $72.13/b from $71.29/b. Sources in Asia discussed the US Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioning Chinese teapot refiner Shandong Shougang Luqing Petrochemical, as well as shadow fleet ships transporting Iranian crude to Chinese ports. Sources expect north China trade to slow, particularly from the Shandong refineries. Buyers will try to make money from sanctioned participants.
