On Nov. 29, trading sentiment in the Asian
naphtha markets was somewhat muted. Market sources stated that traders had been
heard closing down their books prior to the year-end, and that time spreads
were decreasing. A trader said that it was the
year-end and traders were closing their books. "There is not much
happening in the market right now." Mid-afternoon
paper trade on Nov. 29 saw a sharp decline in sentiment. Market watchers had
pegged the front-month December-January Mean Japanese naphtha Swap time spread
at $11.00/mt, down $1.50 from the Nov.28 close. A producer
said that the time spreads are slightly falling because they had already
reached [top] levels. They should remain at these levels for a while as...
