Asian caprolactam market saw a slight improvement in sentiments in the week
leading up to January 12, as participants placed hopes on demand
recovery. The Yuan 12,000/mt mark for domestic ex-tank supplies in East
China and South China was discussed. This markedly increased from the Yuan 11,000s/mt
level a month ago. One East China producer was listed at Yuan 11,950/mt or
$1.765.7/mt. The other South China producer was listed at Yuan 12,050/mt or
$1.780.4/mt. Both were listing with direct currency conversion. According
to market sources, some producers in China attempt to list their retail prices
