the week at $1.915-3.500/ mt CFR Far East Asia and $1.925-3.250/mt CFR
Southeast Asia on Aug. 18. Spot
discussion in the caprolactam marketplace remained muted as buyers remained
cautious due to the high inventory and bearish outlook for final product
demand. Russia-origin cargoes of lower
price were last seen at $1,700-1,740/mt CFR Far East Asia basis. This is about
$200-$300/mt less than regular local offers. August listing prices were last
seen at $1,970-2,000/mt. Sources were also
concerned that China's cargoes might attract interest from the export market due
to lower domestic prices. A producer said
that China's domestic ammonia prices were equal to $1700-1740/mt on an export
