Asia benzene was valued at $914.00/mt FOB Korea Dec. 17, down $7.00/mt The marker used the average of H2 January, H1 February, and H2 February laycans. No transparent bids or offers were made during the Market on Close assessment on December 17. February laycans were valued at $917/mt. This is the same as an open trade agreement for February. The January/February physical spread was maintained at minus 9/mt. H2 January was still assessed at $908/mt. The CFR China marker was down $10/mt in value at $917.50/mt. This is due to intraday movements on the East China domestic benzene market as well as the FOB Korea marker. February laycans were valued at $920/mt. This is $5 less than the intraday nominal value.
