EDC: Asian EDC was stable at $235/mt CFR
Far East Asia, and $260/mt CFR Southeast Asia Nov. 17, despite thin price
discussions. According to market sources, sentiment
remains bearish despite a declining global EDC market. FOB USG EDC
benchmark price fell $20/mt week-on-week to $145/mt Nov. 15, according to
market sources. Downstream vinyl chloride monomer, and polyvinylchloride are
also bearish in the near term. Korea Customs data for November 17
showed that South Korea's EDC exports increased 9.9% month-on-month and 35.6%
annually to 31,526 mt. VCM: Asian vinyl chloride monomer dropped
$40-$70/mt Week Nov. 17, due to a bearish outlook for the near term, and the fall
in downstream polyvinyl chloride markets. CFR Far East
