Asian MTBE fell $161-180/mt or 12.6% on
July 6 at $1116-1150/mt FOB Singapore. This was the lowest rate since April 25,
when it was at $1,095-1,120/mt. This
was the sharpest drop since April 24, when the daily change was approximately
15.63%. The MTBE market plunged, following
the decline in gasoline and oil prices. The
92RON gasoline fell 12.61% to $120.94-140.50/b. While the 92RON crack dropped
33.40% to $16.41-20.25/b over the same time period. On the back of a sharp selloff and market sentiment
remaining highly vulnerable to global recession worries, the front-month ICE
Brent crude oil futures fell 8.11% to $104.53/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830
