Asian isomer-grade mixedxylene dropped
$6/mt on the day to $975/mt FOB Korea and $985/mt CRU Unv1. It was still assessed
at $927-$947/mt CFR China Nov. 8. This closely follows the drop in paraxylene
which was down $6.25/mt to $1,011.33/mt CRU Unv1/China. The PX market appears to
be in a bearish mood and the US market seems to have slowed down. MX prices are
currently relatively stable with limited supply and paused demand. Some market participants believe that Octane-related US
demand may continue into 2023. A Northeast
Asian end-user of MX said that there is no news that PX will improve soon and
