ACETONE: US spot Acetone held steady at
$992-1010/mt (45c/lb) FOB USG June 28, based on pricing indications of
44-46c/lb. The domestic acetone contract
assessment for April truck and railcar remained at 55.50c/lb (1.224/mt) during
the week. It was reported that US traders were open to
European offers at $800-820/mt CFR to purchase imports. However, no fixtures
were confirmed at the market close. There was
some risk due to high freight rates, tight vessel space, and the possibility of
delays. One source said that the market was bearish in
the short term. Talks between domestic truck and railcar drivers
were held at 60 cents per lb, down 6-8 c/lb. The acetone
