- September/October market structure remains stable- The lack of bids has left the
demand at a low level.



The week began on a weak note for US
methanol spot markets trading. On Aug. 29, there was limited buying and selling
activity. As
trading interest and bidding interest were not evident, one September and one
October methanol offers were available on the day. September spot methanol was unchanged at 104c/gal FOB USG, which
was below the September offer of 11c/gal FOB ITC. October spot methanol was unchanged at 107c/gal FOB USG on
the day, below an October offer of 111c/gal FOB ITC. As a result of a weaker Yuan and growing spot supply, the
Chinese methanol market trended downwards on Aug. 29. Yuan 17-30/mt was the lowest domestic methanol price in
