US acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene flat in
mid-July. Spot ABS was valued at 119.5
cents/lb, week-on-week. Pricing for domestic US rail cars
and trucks was discussed below the 125c/lb mark. During the
week, no pricing was made from Brazil. The US
styrene price dropped over the past week. Styrene was
valued at $1,880-1,900/mt. July 12 compared to $1,839-1,870/mt. July 5. The global
length of the ACN market meant that US spot acrylonitrile prices dropped during the
week. US spot ACN prices were lower by $60-65/mt
during the week of July 12. This was due to drops in the CFR FE Asia and CIF
ARA markets. Domestic ACN contracts were stable at 87.25
