Due to limited market activity, mixed
xylenes and US Gulf nitration grade toluene spot prices were stable on July 12,
despite renewed volatility in upstream energy markets. July NGT was flat at 624c/gal on the day, while
July MX was steady at 585c/gal. There were no offers or bids. NYMEX WTI
crude oil prices fell by $8.25 during the session. They closed below $100-120/b. The
front-month NYMEX RBOB fell by 19.76 Cents to 326.46 Cents/gal. According
to Panjiva shipping data, at least two MX import cargoes have arrived on the US
Gulf Coast since June. These include a shipment of 2,000 mt from Brazil and an
unidentified parcel of 2,850 mt from Unv1. Panjiva
data also shows that 20,000 mt paraxylene arrived...
