The US acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene
assessment was flat on the week, sources said. Spot ABS was valued at 119.5 cents/lb for the
week. Pricing of domestic US railcar and truck cars
was discussed below the 125c/lb level. A source
said that the market is slow and there have not been many negotiations recently. A source
said that materials are very expensive and customers are pushing down orders.
There is a lot of material right now. Brazil did
not provide pricing information during the week. The US
styrene price dropped week-on-week. Styrene was
valued at $1,736.50-1,750.50/mt on July 19, compared to $1,880-1,900/mt on July
12. Spot acrylonitrile prices in the US fell this
week amid concerns about US ACN prices hovering around $1,600-1,630/mt and
tracking declines...
