Normal butanol market talked tight  Plasticizers are stable week-on-week  



Due to continued market
tightness, and a slowing automotive sector, US oxo-alcohols pricing was mixed
for the week of April 28. Normal butanol export
prices rose $25-28/mt to $2,475-2,485/mt FOB USG on April 28, amid discussions
about pricing at $2.450-$2,500/mt, and following the rise in the CFR China
marker. In late April, a market participant
stated that the US market continues to be tight for NBA. Domestic NBA was still assessed at 148.5 cents/lb. Export 2-EH dropped $50-55/mt this week to $2,240-2,250/mt
FOB USG. This is taking into consideration the drop in the CFR China marker. Domestic pricing was flat at 135 to 136 cents/lb. Plasticizers: The US domestic DOTP (or DINP) was flat during
