trading cycle. Market sources said that time spreads are expected to improve to
reflect market fundamentals for 2023. A Northeast Asia-based trader stated
that "demand for olefins is still poor, nothing has changed at this moment
and we are taking an expectant stance on China returning to the oil
market." Sources said that Asia's naphtha-fed steam crackers have
been forced to operate at 70% to 85% below normal levels due to weak demand
from China, Asia's largest consumer. At the Asian close on Nov. 30, CFR
