Despite a lackluster trading activity,
Asian butadiene was stable Dec. 5. According
to a market source, the butadiene market was "lifeless" due to a lack
of trading activity and buyers and sellers being reluctant to enter into spot
negotiations. According to trading
sources, spot price negotiations for January business will likely begin in a
few weeks. The local China butadiene
prices rose Yuan 300/mt from Yuan 6,500/mt, or $801/mt if you consider import
parity. The market sentiment was still
bearish due to a lack of buying appetite from end-users, particularly the
synthetic rubber sector. Sellers were not
