Asian paraxylene fell $6.92/mt to $965/mt
CFR unv1/China on Nov. 16. After
the final December cargo declaration was completed on Nov. 15, the assessment
was rolled over on November 16. There was a greater backwardation in
January/February at plus 15/mt, compared to the December/January backwardation
which shrank to plus $5-6/mt towards the cargo declaration date. The Market on Close process for the January cargo assessment
was closed on Nov. 16. There was one bid from Total, but it was quiet in Asia. According to an Asia-based source, paper trading was
concentrated in December and January. However, overall trading was not very
