- The IPA market continues to have lackluster demand- ETAC and BUTAC prices are higher during the week



ACETONE: US spot Acetone was stable at $900-920/mt
FOB USG Sept. 6. This is above pricing indications at $750-800/mt. Market
sources have not heard of any pricing changes at lower levels. In the meantime,
confirmation of contracts has been received. The September domestic acetone
contract assessment was at 43.50c/lb (959/mt). PHENOL: US spotphenol was $404/mt less than the previous
week, at $1,191-1,210/mt FOB USG Sept. 6. This
assessment was informed by the pricing range discussed at benzene plus 8-10
Cents/lb. The September US benzene
contract price was 135c lower at 317c/gal on Aug. 31. This is the second month
of declines from its record high. In the
