Asian polystyrene fell $0-$10/mt in the
last week due to the declines in the upstream and domestic China markets. CFR China styrene dropped
$51-56/mt to $1,424-1,450/mt, with weaker demand in both the export and
domestic markets. Polystyrene producers
continued to feel the pressure due to continuing bearishness in end-user
demand. Some regions have seen a lack of buying interest. Although some buyers received higher offers, there were a
few suppliers who said that buying signals were lower due to domestic cargoes
being cheaper. This also contributed to the thin liquidity in China's CFR China
