Due to weak demand, Asian isomer-mixed
xylenes were down $35-40/mt on the day at $1.179-2.500/mt FOB Korea, $1.1349-2.2503/mt
CRU Unv1, and $5-6/mt $1,050-1,080/mt CRU China July 7. According to a source in the FOB Korea market,
prices will continue to fall as the market is weak and without any support from
the US Gulf Coast or limited support from its use as a blendstock. Another
source stated that although the isomer MX FOB Korea prices seem to reflect
negative crude and paraxylene oil price movements, isomer MX still appears
quite strong due to Asia's demand. The September ICE Brent crude oil
futures fell $3.78-4.50/b to $100.75-120.50/b at 0830 GMT, July 7. Downstream
