Market sources indicated that the Asian
naphtha market was bearish because of the gloomy outlook for petrochemicals
until end-2022. However, there was some demand from South Korean end users for
heavier, splitter feed naphtha grades. Two tenders emerged on the day. Hanwha Total wanted at
least one cargo open-specified naphtha to be delivered in the second-half of
December. GS Caltex sought at least one heavy full-range cargo for delivery in
December via tenders that closed Oct. 31, sources stated. Sources say that Japan's Mitsubishi Chemical purchased a
January-December 2023 term cargo for a premium of $2-$3-$5/mt to the Mean of
