After six consecutive price drops, the US
spot acrylonitrile market prices held steady on the week of 7/7. The US spot ACN market remained stable at $1,910-1,940/mt
FOB USGC, taking into account stable pricing in the CFR FE Asia markers and CFR
Southeast Asia markers. Although there were no direct
discussions, the assessment considered stable pricing in the CFR Far East Asia
as well as the CFR Southeast Asia markers. According
to one source, the demand for US ACN is still fair. Domestic
ACN contracts were stable at 87.25c/lb delivery during the week. This
assessment was based upon an industry-accepted formula that took into account
the CGP settlement of 49.5c/lb and the ammonia CP at $1,000-1,040/mt. The demand
