Asian MTBE fell $12/mt between Nov. 18 and
Nov. 21 to $953/mt, as crude oil prices dropped due to a weaker demand outlook
and China’s increase in COVID-19 case numbers. The Market on Close assessment process was
closed on Nov. 21 and no bids or offers were made. This kept the factor at
1.233. A market source stated that the Chinese domestic
gasoline market is in decline due to a rise in COVID-19-related cases and the
reimplementation lockdowns. The MTBE market has remained quiet. According
to local media, China's National Health Commission recorded 2,277 new COVID-19
