US August DDP-benzene rose 5 cents/gal to 370c/gal
on August. 8 is moving up with upstream energy.
WTI crude futures rose $1.75/b to $90.76/b on Aug.8, an increase of 1.97%. Benzene rose
1.37%. Benzene rose 1.37%. Benzene's
premium over RBOB was 81.38c/gal on the day, up from a 79.44c/gal premium on
Aug. 5, and at $2.8862/gal, an increase of 1.07%. This
resulted in a decrease in feedstock benzene consumption and a lower valuation
for the benzene market relative to crude futures. DDP US benzene was at
382.50c/gal on Aug. 9. This is an increase of 12.50 cents/gal. The August DDP
assessment was informed at August DDP meetings at 365-400c/gal by market close. August FOB
was priced at a 20-cent/gal premium to August...
