Asian isomer-grade mixed xylene dropped $7-8/mt
to $975-990/mt FBO Korea and $975-990/mt CFR Unitedv1. It was stable at $952.50-970.50/mt
CFR China on Aug. 22, as crude oil fell. The October ICE Brent crude oil futures dropped 87 cents, to
$94.68-100.50/b, while downstream paraxylene remained steady at $1,065.33-1,100.50/mt
CRU Unv1/China. China's MX market was
stable, with September ex-tank prices in East China at Yuan 7,590-7610/mt or
approximately $956.70-980.25/mt if you consider import-parity. Similar news: China imported 40.136 mt isomer-MX in China in
July, a decrease of 31% over June's customs data. At 29,654 mt, the bulk of July's shipments came from Japan.
