- NBA Spot Prices Drop by Eur105-115/mt- The PA market's demand
fundamentals are waning





According to market participants, there was
little activity in European oxo-alcohol markets during the week ending July 7.
However, demand fundamentals were weak in the phthalic acid market. Normal-butanol spot price at Eur1,795-1,815/mt
FD Northwest Europe. This is down Eur105-112/mt from the previous week. It
falls within the top-end distributor's indication of prices between
Eur1,700-1.800/mt. However, it does not take into account an indication from
the same distributor that prices were heard in the market below Eur1,800/mt.
Further corroboration may be required. The export
prices for the NBA market were evaluated at $1,445-1,490/mt FOB Rotterdam. This
was $105-120/mt less than the decline in the domestic market. Participants
