The US acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene
assessment decreased by $5 at the beginning of July, sources said Spot ABS was
assessed at 119.5 cents/lb, per week. Prices were last week at 124.5 cents/lb. Pricing for domestic US railcar and truck cars was discussed
below the 125c/lb mark. Sources
complaining about the low demand for the material in Brazil did not hear of any
pricing. The US styrene price dropped over
the past week. Styrene was valued at
$1,839-1,850/mt July 5, compared to $1,940-1,975/mt June 28. After six consecutive price drops, the US spot acrylonitrile
market prices held steady on the week of 7/7. US spot ACN prices remained stable at $1,910-1,950/mt FOB
USGC, taking into account stable pricing in the CFR FE Asia markers and CFR
