to be temporary- The futures market rally continues, closing Yuan 8,308-8,700/mt



Spot cargo talks were not heard in Asia
because buyers were still reluctant to purchase spot cargoes because of weak
end-user demand. After
dropping $78-83/mt in the previous week, Styrene monomer CFR China price
rebounded to $31-36/mt. Participants in
the market suggested that the current rebound could be temporary as downstream
ABS and PS demand are still weak. The
market was quiet due to the large divide between selling and buying interests.
Selling indications were heard at over $1,120-1,150/mt FOB China. The September 2022 styrene futures traded on the Dalian
Commodity Exchange were volatile with prices increasing from Yuan 417-450/mt
(5.24%) to Yuan 8,371-8,700/mt during the morning trading session, before
