The US acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene assessment
fell 8 cents on the week on Aug. 31. spot ABS at 102-104 cents/lb on the week. ABS was valued at 110-112c/lb on Aug. 23. During the
week, no ABS pricing from Brazil were heard. Over the
past week, US styrene declined. styrene at $919/mt Aug. 30, against
$1,106.5/mt on Aug. 23. Spot acrylonitrile prices in the US
fell $20 to $1,680/mt FOB USG Aug. 30, from $1,106.5/mt on Aug. 23. This
assessment was made on the basis of a trade that occurred at that level between
August acrylonitrile indicators talked in the range $1,630-1.700/mt FOB USGC. Domestic
ACN contracts were assessed at 5.5 cents more per week at 87.25c/lb delivered. This
