The US
acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene assessment was 11.5 cents/lb higher on the week
as sources reported receiving higher offers. Spot ABS was valued at 130-132/cents/lb on July 27. ABS was
assessed at 119-122 cents/lb on July 19. Pricing for
domestic US trucks and railcars was discussed below the 140c/lb level. During the
week, no pricing was made from Brazil. The US
styrene price decreased over the past week. Styrene was
valued at $1,718-1,750/mt on July 26, compared to $$1,736.5-1,750.5/mt the
previous day. Spot acrylonitrile prices in the USA continued
to fall, following global price declines in Asia/Europe. Due to muted
trading discussions, US spot ACN prices were $40-45/mt lower this week at $1640-1680/mt
FOB USGC. Domestic ACN contracts were stable at 87.25
