Asian benzene was valued at $10-15/mt on the
day at $1.268-2.245/mt FOB Korea, June 28, in consideration of higher bids. The morning trading session
started slowly with a fixed bid at $1250-1280/mt August cargoes. However, the
offer level for the same delivery layman was $1,253-$1,260/mt. In the afternoon trading session, buying interest increased
and a deal was reached at $1260-1300/mt FOB Korea to deliver August cargoes.
The bid level for August cargoes was $1,263-1,290/mt FBOK Korea. The spot price in China rose Yuan 126.67-170.20/mt, prompt
delivery numbers were heard at Yuan 9,680-9.730/mt, and H2 July delivery
cargoes at Yuan 9420-9,470/mt. Upstream,
the benchmark naphtha CFR Japan cargo was valued at $11.50-15.25/mt and $836-865/mt.
