US methanol spot market participation was
at an all-time low as there were no trades or bids. Market participants
reported few offers on Oct. 31. November
spot methanol prices remained unchanged at 100c/gal FOB USG. However, an offer
was made at 102c/gal FOB ITC. The December
spot methanol price structure was maintained at its previous flat level. The market has remained in a long-term position due to a
lack of buying interest and an oversupply. One source previously stated that they believe prices will
fall this week because sellers may continue to sell lower product to attract
buyers. Similar sentiment was observed in
Europe. Prices remained unchanged on the day due to bearish sentiment and weak
