Participants pointed out that the European oxo alcohol markets saw an increase in length during the week ending June 9,
despite soft spot demand. Domestic N-butanol spot prices are Eur2,090-2,130/mt. This
is down Eur10-12/mt from the previous week. This is despite a distributor
indication at Eur2,100-2,140/mt as well as a producer indication that there has
been increased demand and longer market length. The FOB Rotterdam N–butanol
spot prices also dropped $10-15/mt to $1,740-1,780/mt over the week, partly due
to weak domestic values. However, a distributor indicator of around $1,750-1,780/mt
was in place. Spot pricing for domestic I-butanol was Eur1,570-1,600/mt FOB
Rotterdam FD Northwest Europe. This is down Eur10-12/mt from the previous week.
