Prices rise $20 on week The market decline in Asia



The US spot acrylonitrile
rose for eight consecutive weeks, but market indications were limited. Spot acrylonitrile in the USA at $2,260-2,300/mt FOB USGC.
This is $20-30 more than the previous week. According to a source, pricing had been discussed at $2,260-2,300/mt. Participants in the market expect prices for acrylonitrile
to rise, but they have not given any indication of where there would be demand
once that happens. Since March 1, prices
have increased from $1,830-1,860/mt FOB USGC. Domestic ACN contracts were assessed at 123.25c/lb
delivered, a decrease of 1.25 cents. Based
on an industry-accepted formula that included the chemical-grade propylene
settlement of 69.5 cents/lb and the April ammonia contract prices of $1,625-1,650/mt,
