The near-term outlook in Southeast Asia was
uncertain, according to trade sources. There were no spot price discussions. Trade sources stated
that the market was balanced despite Kaltim Methanol Industri's 710,000 mt/year
Bontang, Indonesia plant being shut down on Dec. 12, 2022. There were few spot trades. As downstream sectors were buying mainly in need, and
overall demand was stable, traders were more cautious than usual amid
difficulties in domestic ex-tank support. For
a non-sanctioned Middle East cargo, a bidder was found at US$330/mt CFR India. MOC participants did not hear any firm offers. Others
