Asian butadiene was priced at $30-35/mt
less on July 28th, with CFR China prices hitting a four-month low of $1200-1240/mt. This was due to low demand
and limited availability of spot supplies, particularly from Southeast Asia. As market participants waited for the results of the most
recent sell tenders in Southeast Asia, spot price discussions were restricted. According to market sources, these cargoes (around 4,000 mt)
would likely be transported to Northeast Asia. The buyers in Northeast Asia continued to wait and see,
anticipating further price declines due to rising spot availability. Negative margins led to lower spot requirements, and
