Asian butadiene increased $20-$40/mt on
February 17th, and $20-$70/mt on the previous week. Spot demand for Asian butadiene rose $20-$40/mt
on Feb. 17 and $20-$70/mt from the previous week. The local
China butadiene prices were assessed stable at Yuan 9,700/mt February 17,
or $1,225/mt if you import parity. The
ex-China export price was reported as $1,200-1,250/mt FOB China. This is
$1,225/mt on an importb>parity basis. According
to market sources, Asia's buyers are keen and looking for cargoes
from Europe. Some sources claim that ex-Europe cargoes will be loaded in
March to Asia. Sources in trading said that the total amount
would be approximately 7,000 mt. An arbitrage window from Europe to Asia is
currently open. The FOB Rotterdam butadiene cost was $720/mt...
