Offer levels heard to have fallen for acetone / Domestic China market stable for phenol, weaker for acetone

Asian phenol and acetone prices were assessed $5/mt stronger and $5/mt weaker week over week at $770/mt and $660/mt CFR China, respectively. On the feedstocks front, upstream benzene rose $4.33/mt week over week to $740/mt FOB Korea, while propylene rose $13/mt to $743/mt FOB Korea Aug. 12. In acetone markets, a distributor said that offers fell around $10/mt week over week, with an offer for CFR Taiwan heard at $610/mt for September-loading cargoes. The distributor's tradable indication was also heard to have been lower week over week for CFR Southeast Asia, at around $655/mt. In Vietnam, ex-tank prices were heard at an equivalent of $710/mt, a market source said, adding that port handling fees were typically around $30/mt.
