Celanese brings VAM plant on stream

Celanese has restarted its Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant in Pulau Sakra. An industry source in Singapore informed a team member, “The company is heard to have resumed operations at the plant around October 30, 2025. The unit had been shut for maintenance around October 20, 2025.” Located in Pulau Sakra, Singapore, the plant has a production capacity of 210,000 mt/year.
