Asian Caprolactam: Drops by $5/mt due to slow demand■  Discussion on thin demand■ China's domestic
prices lowerAsian caprolactam prices fell $5/mt over
the week to $1,765/mt CFR in Far East Asia. They were also $5/mt lower during the
same time period at $1.775/mt CFR Southeast Asia Sept. 22. Spot discussions remained
sparse, with buyers unwilling to make purchasing decisions due to high
inventory levels and a bearish outlook on demand. The CPL market is expected to remain weak in the fourth quarter
due to weak demand. Sources predict this because of the weak outlook. Spot prices in China domestic fell by Yuan 300-500/mt during
September 16-22. This is Yuan 12,000-12,000./mt prompt east China. Or
$1,496-1,546/mt if you consider import parity. Sources say this was due to
