The price of Asian caprolactam continued to fall in the week ending March 27 due to weaker upstream prices for benzene and low demand. CFR Far East Asia Caprolactam Prices down $25/mt in the past week to $1,390/mt on March 27. This is within the trading range of $1 385-$1,395/mt. This assessment took into account the weakening of upstream benzene. CFR Southeast Asia was also assessed at $1,380/mt less for the week ending March 27. This follows the CFR Far East Asia price change. The CPL market continues to be adversely affected due to the weak benzene price and poor environment.
