over the week to $1,965-1,980/mt CFR in Far East Asia. They were lower by $45-50/mt
to $1,975-2,000/mt CFR Southeast Asia on Aug. 4. The selling price in northeast
Asia was lower at $1,970-2,000/mt. However, buyers are still interested due to
the slow demand for downstream and final products. Sources say the operation rate for the downstream nylon
sector is still low at 50-60%. However, inventory levels are considered high
due to the lower operating rate. In view
of volatile upstream prices and global inflation, trade participants remain
