caprolactam markets. Prices continued to fall. There was little to no
discussion as some producers indicated that they would not produce for the
month ahead. One producer was reported to
have reduced the listed price to $2150-2185/mt, while a tradable indication was
heard during the day between $2100-2150/mt. East China heard domestic ex-tank price talks at Yuan
13800-14000/mt May 5. This was not in conjunction with an increase in benzene
costs locally. According to market
sources, the weakening USD/CNY exchange rates that had dropped sharply would
