CAPCO takes PTA unit off stream

China American Petrochemical (CAPCO) has shut down its Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Taichung. A source in the Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is heard to have commenced maintenance at the unit around September 24, 2025. Details regarding the duration of the shutdown remain unclear, and confirmation from an authorized source has not been obtained.” Located in Taichung, Taiwan, the unit has a production capacity of 760,000 mt/year.
