Asian polyethylene markets held largely steady amid thin trading in the week to July 30. HDPE film stable week over week at $875/mt CFR FE Asia, LLDPE stable on week at $855/mt CFR FE Asia while LDPE film was also unchanged week over week at $1035/mt CFR FE Asia. Domestic spot and futures prices saw a significant uptrend on July 25 due to news that China would launch an anti-involution campaign, sparking concerns over tighter coal supply and coal produced polyethylene. However, prices eased July 28 and have been rangebound since then.
