Olin declares FM on supplies of solvents from Oyster Creek unit

Olin has issued a force majeure (FM) on supplies of phenol and acetone from its unit in Oyster Creek, Texas. An industry source in the US informed a team member, “The company has declared the FM in early August 2025. Further details on the duration of the FM could not be ascertained.” Located in Oyster Creek, Texas in the US, the unit has a phenol production capacity of 295,000 mt/year and acetone production capacity of 180,000 mt/year.
