Asian Ethylene was stable on Aug. 25,
despite a lack of trade activity towards its end. Market participants stated
that they weren't in a rush to trade September cargoes because downstream
demand was still lukewarm. There is little
clarity on the direction of the prices in upstream markets at the moment.
However, downstream demand remains soft. Spot
prices for downstream mono ethylene glycol (MEG), fell $5/mt per day to $500/mt
