Buyers limit purchases Logistical concerns persist



The European
acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene market saw subdued demand in the week to April
27, with buyers avoiding the spot market following price increases earlier in
the month. Due to concerns about price increases
down the value chain, as well as worries about energy price volatility and
upstream risks, contract market buyers were restricting their purchases to
minimal volumes. The uncertainty
surrounding energy prices was further increased by Gazprom, a Russian
state-controlled company. It stopped gas deliveries to Poland and Bulgaria. Market sources say that future uncertainty and higher prices
in April have impacted European demand. However, the market is experiencing
less supply tightness despite low import volumes. Pre-buying in March was a key factor in the April drop in
